Get to Know Me

Micaela serves as the Marketing & Creative Manager for On Point Reentry Consortium, bringing more than 12 years of experience in the reentry field. She has dedicated her work to supporting justice-involved individuals and connecting people with opportunities and resources that help them move forward with dignity. Her journey began by assisting individuals with resumes and identifying City of Austin employment opportunities that matched their skills and qualifications. Over the years, her role expanded to include fundraising, community events, photography, marketing, social media, merchandising, and creative design. As an apparel business owner with additional experience in radio, television, film, and audio technology, Micaela brings a unique combination of creativity, entrepreneurship, and media experience to her work, using those skills to strengthen On Point’s visibility and bring greater awareness to its mission.

For Micaela, this work is also deeply personal. Justice involvement touched someone she loves, and having access to the right resources and support made a meaningful difference in that family member’s journey. Today, that loved one is a productive member of society who works hard and provides for their family. This experience strengthened Micaela’s belief that a person’s past or a poor decision should not define the rest of their life. She believes we should ask ourselves: If this were someone we loved, how would we want the world to treat them? Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and given the support, resources, and opportunity to rebuild their life and pursue a second chance.

Micaela’s commitment to service extends beyond her professional work. She consistently connects people with organizations and community resources that can help improve their lives and has also dedicated time to working with youth through her parish and volunteering in the community alongside friends and family. She believes strongly in paying it forward and is especially passionate about passing those values on to her children and future generations, encouraging young people to understand the importance of compassion, service, and caring for others. Through her work with On Point Reentry Consortium, Micaela strives to use her creativity, experience, and connection to the community to strengthen families, amplify the reentry mission, and remind others of the power of dignity, resources, and second chances.
